Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Forensic Animator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in character animation, motion graphics, and digital art to create compelling forensic visualizations that bring complex investigations to life. Your work will support legal proceedings, criminal investigations, and educational initiatives by transforming raw data into clear, impactful animations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply cutting-edge 3D and 2D animation techniques within a collaborative environment dedicated to truth and transparency. We are a team of about 15 people who have a passion to combine forensic analysis with computer modeling and animation. A engineering or science background is a serious plus. Responsibilities Develop detailed 3D and 2D forensic animations using 3D Studio Max and Unreal. Create realistic character animations and motion graphics that accurately depict forensic scenarios, evidence reconstruction, or suspect movements. Collaborate with forensic experts, investigators, and legal teams to understand case specifics and translate complex data into visual narratives. Utilize scripting languages like Python, C#, and C++ to automate workflows, enhance animation processes, and optimize rendering pipelines. Conduct post-production editing using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other video editing tools to produce polished final animations suitable for court presentations or educational purposes. Apply principles of color theory, typography, and graphic design to ensure visual clarity and impactful storytelling in all animations. Maintain organized project files using version control systems such as Perforce and adhere to strict deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Requirements Proven experience in character animation, motion graphics, and digital art within a forensic or investigative context. Proficiency with 3D modeling and animation software 3D studio Max and Unreal Engine. Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) along with video editing software like Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, C#, C++, with experience in automating tasks or developing custom tools for animation workflows. Solid understanding of anatomy for realistic character modeling and animation; familiarity with photography is a plus. Experience working with game engines like Unreal Engine for real-time visualization projects. Ability to interpret forensic data accurately and translate it into clear visual formats; knowledge of computer graphics is essential. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams; attention to detail is critical for accuracy.
