Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior GIS Geodatabase Engineer to lead the development, management, and optimization of geospatial databases and GIS solutions. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of geographic information systems, leveraging cutting-edge technology to support complex analysis, data visualization, and spatial data management. As a key member of our team, you will drive innovative geospatial projects, enhance data workflows, and provide expert guidance on GIS best practices to ensure accurate, efficient, and impactful spatial data solutions.
Position Requirement:
MUST BE A US CITIZEN.
  • Work experience supporting an Federal Government Intelligence agency is required.
  • Must possess an in-scope (per current DoD 5-year requirement), favorable, Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) / T5 investigation (to include SBPR, PPR or T5R).
  • Must be currently enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) / Continuous Vetting (CV) program.
  • Must be adjudicated for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility by DCSA Adjudication and Vetting Services (AVS) without conditions, exceptions, or waivers at the time of contract award and throughout the life of the contract
  • DCWF qualification required
Required Knowledge:
  • Minimum 12 years of experience working with GIS applications for a federal government intelligence agency.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience years of consistent familiarity with ESRI software working with GIS applications
  • Senior-level expertise in the design, implementation, security, and management of enterprise-scale geodatabases.
  • Must be a subject matter expert in ESRI geodatabase technology and possess strong DBA skills in platforms like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • Must have direct work experience and skills in advanced spatial data modeling, automation of database processes with Python and SQL, performance optimization, and implementing robust backup and recovery procedures.
  • Must have direct work experience skills ins security hardening, including conducting vulnerability assessments and resolving security risks to protect critical and large data assets.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
  • Must possess a relevant Database Administrator (DBA) certification (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL);
  • Must possess an ESRI Enterprise Geodata Management Professional certification.
Pay:
$190,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
