JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Growth Marketing Manager at Critical Role drives integrated digital strategy, operations, and revenue performance across all Critical Role brand social channels (Beacon, Critical Role, and Darrington Press). This role is responsible for transforming strong social performance, content, and creator activity into a sustainable growth engine powered by community. The position oversees the social and community team and partners closely with marketing, creative, sales, development, and e-commerce teams to scale monetization efforts and drive long-term growth strategy.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
[Other assignments, projects, and duties not outlined below may be required] Leads the end-to-end fan growth strategy across acquisition, conversion, retention, and monetization by building persona and segment driven journeys across all marketing channels. Develops and executes the social media strategy across owned and operated channels, paid amplification, and influencer partnerships to build brand awareness, grow fandom, and deepen engagement. Owns the full-funnel social strategy, driving both awareness and conversions that execute on overarching brand and IP strategies. Owns paid social and paid search strategy in partnership with agency teams and assess for most effective revenue, ROAS, CAC and LTV. Develops monetization frameworks for social commerce, sponsorship, UGC, influencer partnerships, and affiliate programs. Maintains a content calendar and tests emerging formats so we can surprise and delight with reactive community moments. Leads growth strategy during a key stage of expansion, ensuring clarity on positioning, messaging, and channel prioritization. Owns social media analytics and reporting, including social listening, leveraging internal tools to deliver insights for key campaign moments and overall IP performance. Oversees campaign and brand editorial calendars, including daily content planning, scheduling, publishing, and community engagement across platforms in collaboration with social and community managers. Leads internal and external communication around social strategies, campaigns, and key assets, including presenting plans and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Maintains a pulse on user-generated content for our campaigns and brands and develops strategies for driving more Earned creation and conversation within those communities. Manages relationships with social media tools and service providers and be on the pulse of new and emerging vendors in this area.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree with a major in marketing or communications
EXPERIENCE 5 - 7
years of digital and social marketing experience in the games, toys, and/or online content industries Strong history of developing and executing successful social media campaigns Experience leading a team across multiple channels and IPs Proven experience managing earned opportunities on major platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent verbal, written, and presentational communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Experience managing complex projects using project management tools such as Asana Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies within a fast-moving team Ability to articulate the impact of social and to tell a story with data in a compelling and easy to understand manner Proven ability to be a self-starter Proven ability to manage projects from inception through execution Knowledge of and passion for Critical Role and role playing games (nice to have) Expert with social media platforms & tools such as Sprout Social Familiarity with Google Analytics and digital media metrics
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position offers a salary range of $110,000-$130,000 annually (for California-based candidates), commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with employer match, and additional perks and benefits.
