Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Landscape Design & Sales Manager to join our team. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, actively engaging in marketing efforts, creating leading edge designs based on customer requests, assisting in estimating projects, and finally presenting and selling proposed designs and projects. In addition to personal sales responsibilities, this individual will provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the design and sales team to help drive performance, consistency, and growth. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of landscape design, horticulture, and project development, have a strong sales background, leadership experience, proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, and experience in CAD design software. Sales & Design Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to listen and understand their landscaping needs, goals, and preferences. Conduct on-site assessments and provide accurate project estimates and budgeting. Develop creative and customized landscape designs using CAD software. Present proposals and design concepts to clients while addressing questions and concerns professionally. Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets. Maintain relationships with existing clients and generate new leads through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts. Stay updated on industry trends, products, materials, and best practices. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and project lifecycle. Work closely with installation and operations teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Leadership & Management Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support the design and sales team to achieve departmental goals and performance targets. Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies, processes, and performance standards. Conduct regular team meetings, pipeline reviews, and sales forecasting. Provide coaching and guidance on estimating, proposal development, sales techniques, and customer communication. Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new sales and design personnel. Monitor workload distribution and team productivity to ensure timely follow-up and proposal delivery. Collaborate with management on revenue goals, staffing needs, and growth initiatives. Help establish and maintain design, estimating, and sales standards across the department. Review project proposals and pricing for accuracy, profitability, and consistency. Support marketing initiatives and contribute to the development of promotional strategies and campaigns. Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience in sales within the landscaping industry. Previous leadership or management experience preferred. Proficiency in CAD software for landscape design purposes. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while also leading and collaborating with a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Background in horticulture, landscape design, or construction preferred.
