Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team preferably with marine experience. Our current project is located in Louisiana but headquarters are in Stafford, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across our fleet and equipment assets. This position offers an exciting opportunity for seasoned mechanics who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering top-tier service. Candidates must be able to pass background and drug test. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions servicing, suspension adjustments, and tire replacements to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and tractor-trailers safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, air brake systems, HVAC units, and diesel engines with precision to identify issues quickly and accurately. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service tasks while maintaining high safety standards and customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or industrial equipment repair background. Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad range of machinery including heavy equipment operation, automotive diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential. Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Knowledge of tire service, brake repair, alignment procedures, HVAC systems, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable. Experience working with r OEM brands is a plus; familiarity with farm machinery and service technician roles is beneficial. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service orientation; ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required. Valid certifications in heavy equipment operation or automotive repair preferred; relevant licenses or certifications are advantageous.
