Job Description

Responsibilities The Senior Medical Assistant performs all key responsibilities of a medical assistant in a clinic or provider office setting which includes assisting in direct patient care and serving as a liaison between the patient and their provider and other clinic staff. The Senior Medical Assistant will also perform additional tasks above the normal medical assisting duties such as age and/or specialty specific health coaching, serving as preceptor for other medical assistants and clinical support assistants, leading daily clinic huddles, working at and/or with identified training sites to assist with new hire and ongoing competencies, assist the clinic leader on job-specific projects and implementations, and serve as a job-specific electronic medical record super-user.
Qualifications Required:
Three (3) years of experience as a Medical Assistant. Certificate in Medical Assisting Medical Assistant Certification from either American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
Desired:
Five (5) years as a Medical Assistant.
