Senior Project Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description We're seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support accurate, timely financial entry, analysis, and reporting across a portfolio of construction projects. Reporting to the Project Controller , this role partners closely with project teams and leadership to ensure financial data is complete and actionable-helping drive strong project performance through cost control, billing accuracy, and clear reporting. What You'll Do Analyze project costs and provide insights to support decision-making Implement and maintain cost control systems for project budgets and spend Communicate key commercial terms tied to project contracts Prepare and report project financials to leadership Support invoicing documentation and billing processes Prepare and submit invoices, including equipment/rental billings Process and reconcile billing submissions Support key accounting activities including: accounts receivable, subcontract management, payroll, equipment time entry, accounts payable, and month-end processes. What You Bring 5+ years of experience in a similar project accounting role Post-secondary business degree (required) Industry experience in construction, telecom, or related environments (preferred) Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP (preferred) Strong understanding of construction accounting Strong analytical and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office
