Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (C++). 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management). 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and systems. Deep understanding of security architecture on Android devices. The Pixel Privacy/Security team is dedicated to building security products and safeguarding user privacy. We are committed to driving New Technology Introduction (NTI) initiatives, building security infrastructure within the privacy and security domain, and integrating these solutions into the Pixel ecosystem. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Work cross-functionally and collaborate with peer teams to design, develop, and deploy security features on Pixel devices . Harden low-level system software components critical to Pixel security. Research design and develop security features for future Pixel devices. Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Design and implement infrastructure to ensure the quality of security software deliverables, including security audits and CI/CD pipelines.
