Senior Structural Designer Primary Color Systems Corporation - 2.8 Cypress, CA Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Structural engineering practices 3D CAD modeling Bachelor's degree Rendering Full Job Description Position Summary Primary Color is looking for a talented Structural Designer to join our Design & Fabrication team. In this role, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning trade show exhibits, brand activations, retail fixtures, and immersive branded environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience designing with rigid materials and has a proven ability to transform creative concepts into practical, buildable structures, engineered with fabrication efficiency, ease of transport, and seamless installation in mind. Key Responsibilities Apply a strong command of proportion, balance, color theory, and visual harmony to produce aesthetically refined outcomes Generate multiple design concepts, including material and finish options, to guide clients toward confident final decisions Design and engineer custom structures for a wide range of activations and events, including trade show booths, bar carts, kiosks, floor displays, wall units, countertop displays, and more Create CNC/Art files for production Produce clear, accurate fabrication drawings and step-by-step assembly instructions for every project Work closely with Fabrication, Project Management, and Sales teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to completion Engage actively in project meetings, contributing design perspective and creative input at every stage of the project lifecycle Maintain organized design documentation and manage revision control with precision Continuously identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce production costs Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 3 to 7+ years of experience in Structural Design for fabrication or exhibits B.S. in Industrial Design or similar Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling in SolidWorks Rendering and visualization skills using KeyShot, Blender, or similar tools for photorealistic presentation Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Portfolio of previous work Preferred Qualifications Strong problem-solving abilities Materials and manufacturing knowledge, including an understanding of plastics, metals, composites, and relevant processes (injection molding, CNC, vacuum forming, etc.) Knowledge of materials and substrates used in various print processes Exceptional coordination and communication skills for cross-team collaboration Strong organizational and time-management abilities to balance multiple projects Base-level understanding of LEDs and electronics Salary commensurate with applicable experience. This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday.
