Service Advisor

Marine Service Advisor North Point Yacht Sales is an authorized dealer for several lines of powerboats and sailboats along with an extensive list of brokerage boats. We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Marine Service Advisor to join our growing team at our Virginia location. The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring an exceptional service experience from initial consultation through job completion. This role is essential to maintaining strong customer relationships, streamlining workflow, and ensuring timely, high-quality service on yachts and powerboats.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and engage customers in a courteous, professional manner. Evaluate customer service requests and accurately document all work orders. Provide clear explanations of service procedures, timelines, and estimates. Coordinate with service technicians to schedule and prioritize work. Monitor the status of ongoing service jobs and provide regular updates to customers. Ensure all work is completed to satisfaction and within expected timeframes. Manage service documentation, including estimates, invoices, warranty claims, and customer communications. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain communication transparency across the team using the shop management system. Ordering parts and materials required for service work. Support yard operations by ensuring boats are properly prepared for haul/launch and service appointments. Promote additional services or preventative maintenance based on boat condition and usage.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in marine service, service writing, or a related customer-facing role. Strong knowledge of yacht systems, marine service processes, and terminology. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver's license; ability to operate vessels preferred.
