Service & Maintenance Helper

Our Service & Maintenance Helper assists in completing preventative maintenance and regular repairs on equipment and/or trucks. Job Summary:

As a Service & Maintenance Helper , you are under general supervision performing a variety of general maintenance duties which include but are not limited to electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and construction in the maintenance and repair of C-Stores, pumps, tanks, facilities, and equipment. You will work with other Technicians in the Service Department and report to the Service Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs Maintenance/Operation duties within the Company's policies and procedures Completes servicing needs for C-Stores, Corporate Office, and equipment as directed Works in a manner to support the Company's safety, quality, efficiency, and cost metrics Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) of all work-related equipment Performs and/ or assists in the rebuild, replacement, and installation of equipment Communicates effectively in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner with customers, other employees, and the public. Keeps the service department clean and orderly Washes trucks and other equipment as needed Completes inspections and other duties as assigned.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to work collaboratively with others Excellent communication and time management skills

Walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and hear. Have the ability to climb steps and ladders Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Lifts/carries 50 pounds occasionally, pushing/pulling a maximum force of 75 pounds; Safe Lifting criteria, floor to knuckle 50 pounds, shoulder to overhead 30 pounds Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles Exposure to extreme cold or heat. Able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals. Constant state of alertness and ability to perform safely.
