Heavy Equipment Mechanic Pay Class:

Full Time- 40 hours per week ( M-F 7:00 AM-3:30 PM)

Based in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, we deliver diverse engineering and manufacturing solutions large and small to customers across several industries. We also offer industrial servicing and supplies to customers in the automotive, forestry and agricultural sectors. Our retail front boasts thousands of SKUs in categories such as chain, bearings, and filters, while our service department tackles nearly every mechanical repair job (hydraulics, PTO, etc.) that comes through our door. Our work often requires creativity and deep mechanical knowledge to make things right.

//froedge.com/ for a high-level view of all that we do. What are we looking for? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual for a fast-paced position within our service department. The ideal candidate is someone with a mechanical background, and has some experience in heavy equipment or agricultural equipment repair. Our service department deals with a highly diverse set of jobs - work here will offer a lot of varied experience while strengthening your mechanical and technical skills. The ideal candidate is willing to learn a lot, ask questions, and dig into problems to pin down an answer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Repair, service, test and troubleshoot heavy equipment Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems Plan repair work using blueprints and technical manuals Communicate with customers about the status of their work requests Collaborate with colleagues on the best route forward in solving a given problem

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong mechanical or industrial background Knowledge of hydraulic systems Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate on problems Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Some equipment provided, though must provide own hand tools

Education and Experience:

Relevant work experience or technical education Pay is negotiable based on prior experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds at a time.
