Job Description

Job Summary The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure rental properties are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. This role involves responding to tenant maintenance requests, installing flooring, conducting general repairs, and assisting with property renovations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with hands-on skills in multiple trades and a commitment to excellent tenant service.
Key Responsibilities Tenant Maintenance Requests :
Respond promptly to tenant-reported issues, such as plumbing leaks, electrical faults, appliance repairs, or HVAC malfunctions, ensuring timely and high-quality resolutions.
General Repairs :
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including drywall repair, painting, caulking, and minor carpentry to maintain property standards.
Flooring Installation :
Install various types of flooring (e.g., vinyl, laminate, tile, or carpet) in rental units, ensuring precision and durability.
Renovations :
Assist with unit turnovers and renovations, including updating kitchens, bathrooms, or common areas, to prepare properties for new tenants.
Property Inspections :
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
Vendor Coordination :
Work with external contractors for specialized repairs when needed, ensuring cost-effective and timely solutions.
Inventory Management :
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies, reporting needs to the property manager.
Tenant Communication :
Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with tenants, addressing concerns and updating them on repair progress.
Job Type:
Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week
