A Service Technician Diesel I is responsible for performing basic maintenance and service on diesel engines and related components. This role may involve diagnosing issues, conducting inspections, servicing equipment, and completing necessary repairs. Service Technicians Diesel I typically work in a variety of settings, such as construction sites or shops. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are important qualities for individuals in this role.What You'll Do:
Basic understanding of service intervals. Locate fluid types, capacities, and special instructions in manufacturer's digital service manual. Service, grease, lube all mobile equipment. Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors. Perform repairs to address problems when necessary. Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools in a safe manner throughout the shop and plant. Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed on a daily and monthly basis regarding all mobile equipment. Enter and maintain service reports for all the mobile equipment in written or electronic form. Perform physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.Other Requirements:
Ability to work overtime and extended hours including weekend depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to loud noises. Must have knowledge of industrial tools, their uses and maintenance. Subject matter expert and ability to apply knowledge and experience in situations. Must have Valid driver's license.Critical Competencies:

- Ability to work effectively with others to achieve common goals by fostering teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect.
- Solid mechanical understanding of mobile equipment, including basic maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
Qualifications Skills You'll Need:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.Experience:
Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred. Additional vocational/trade school training in a mechanical field is also preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
