Job Description

General Description:
Key position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: Act as first contact for service customers via telephone and in person in a manner that creates a trusting relationship thereby promoting customer retention and loyalty. Proactively explain to customers the service needs necessary for their boat with emphasis on preventative maintenance. Inspect stored boats on property to identify problems and convey the problems to the customer. Prepare accurate written estimates for service work and parts. Act as liaison between customer, manufacturer reps and technicians. Maintain digital job schedule Work with Parts Manger to order required parts for repairs. Input and track work orders via Dockmaster Software. Enter technicians' and yard team's labor times in work orders. . Perform timely follow-up with customer. Assist technicians and yard crew as needed
Work Experience Required:
Two years of experience as a marine mechanical technician or marine yard team member. Strong working knowledge of parts and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of commercial and pleasure boats Ability to read/use technical manuals, parts books and drawings. Integrity and strong work ethic. Excellent customer service skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to multi-task and remain cool under pressure. Computer proficiency to include Internet, MSOffice products, especially Excel and Word. Knowledge of Dockmaster Software or other marine services software is a plus.

High School Diploma or GED.
