Part-time SUMMARY:

The Shelter Aide helps maintain a clean, safe, and respectful shelter environment for residents. This is an on-call position that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shelter Aides may assist with resident check-ins, room assignments, responding to emergencies, and ensuring shelter rules are followed. This part-time position includes housing at the Shelter; resident has their own living quarters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Respond to calls from shelter residents, staff, or emergency personnel Check in residents and assign rooms when needed Help respond to emergencies or resident concerns Conduct routine room and safety checks Help keep the shelter clean and organized Encourage residents to complete chores and clean up after themselves Support a respectful and nurturing environment for everyone Be available for weekends and holidays as needed Perform other duties assigned by management
