Shift Leader and Crew Member

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shift Leader assists the Assitant Manager and General Manager with management activities and duties, ensuring all activities are consistent with and support the restaurant's business plan. The Shift Leader ensures all Team Members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting all expectations in all areas of their job description.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Take necessary action to ensure all hospitality service is outstanding; anticipates and exceeds guests needs; handles requests immediately and in a positive manner.
• Effectively "paths" the restaurant to monitor all aspects of the restaurant's operations to anticipate problems and takes initiative to correct problem areas immediately.
• Consistently enforces and maintains all quality, service and cleanliness standards.
• Monitors and maintains proper staffing levels and labor costs.
• Effectively train and provide direction and supervision for Team Members.
• Support efforts to maximize sales and profits and minimize controllable costs.
• Complies with all Company policies and procedures regarding business and personnel practices.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.
• Recognize and adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures to provide a safe and compliant environment for all.

REQUIREMENTS

• Stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift 15 pounds
• Work with various cleaning products
• Must be a minimum of 16 years old
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts
• Must have reliable transportation and method of communication with restaurant (i.

e. phone or email)

• Keep work area clean, organized and stocked, including washing dishes, sweeping, mopping,taking out trash and cleaning restrooms.
• Ensures that all guests receive hot quality products, prepares packages and delivers all products according to menu standards.
• Handles all food products according to company procedures, follows all company food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of guests and employees.
• Be punctual, attentive to detail, friendly, willing to learn and always act with integrity.
• Work with team to prepare the restaurant for each shift.

EXPERIENCE

• Must be 16 years or older
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Ability to comfortably interact with all guests
• Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
• Strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed
