Job Description

Job Summary:
Shipping and Packaging Clerks prepare product for shipment by inspecting, cleaning, packaging, labeling, and loading product in preparation for delivery of product to customer.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare castings for shipment by assembling and packaging to procedures; Utilize mechanical aqueous parts washer to clean product prior to packaging; Visually inspect product per customer requirements and established internal processes; Keep accurate detailed records of product inventories; Operates basic and advanced warehouse vehicles and equipment (i.e., electric pallet jack, forklift, shrink wrapper, etc.) Utilize ERP system to identify and organize product for shipment; Package product for shipment; Generate shipping documents (labels, Bills of Lading, etc.) for shipments as required; Liaison with suppliers, customers and shipping companies to obtain rate quotes and scheduled pick-ups and deliveries; Load and unload product from incoming and outgoing freight vehicles; Adhere to
AS9100/IATF 16949/ISO 9001
compliant procedures and processes; Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations; Maintain 5S housekeeping standards within Final Processing area; Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturers instructions, by troubleshooting malfunctions and by calling for repairs, and Perform any and all other duties assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
Must exhibit understanding and commitment to US Castings Core Values; High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years manufacturing or industrial experience preferred; 2+ years shipping experience preferred; Self-starter with desire and willingness to institute change; Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timely manner; Positive attitude, good judgment and excellent time management skills; Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office preferred; Ability to walk, stand for long periods, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; Reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; Positive can do attitude; Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands; Weekends and holidays may be necessary; Willingness to work in a foundry type environment; Constant walking, standing, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, kneeling, bending, stooping, and moving during working hours, and Required to pass to a drug and hearing test in order to maintain a safe work environment.
