Shipping and Receiving Manager - Immediate Opening!

Job Description - Shipping and Receiving Associate The ideal candidate will have experience working in a quality controlled, manufacturing plant or other type plant environment and preferably have experience managing all aspects of shipping and receiving with both freight lines and logistics companies as well as UPS/FedEx ground. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will: Work in conjunction with the Production Manager and other department leads to ensure the timely shipping of orders Contact customers for shipping instructions to set up order pick ups Secure boxes, packing supplies, pallets, and other materials needed for shipping orders and notify the purchasing agent when supply stock is low Familiarize themselves with national, state, or territory requirements regarding the shipping of orders and any weight/size restrictions for boxes/pallets Ensure the Quality Department has completed a final inspection prior to shipping Complete the internal Job Pick Ticket for all orders shipped Check status of customer accounts prior to shipping and notify appropriate personnel if an account is on hold File records of shipped orders in an organized manner Maintain current forklift and pallet licenses required to load/unload trucks and organize stock on the plant floor Possess computer literacy; preferably experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as shipping/receiving and other software applications Have the ability to calculate basic mathematical functions and read measurement instruments (weighing scales and tape measurers) Flexibility to work overtime hours as necessary Have reliable, daily transportation to work Possess strong organizational, record keeping, attention to detail, and oral/written communication skills

PAY:

Weekly payroll via direct deposit for hours worked the previous week. Rate of pay is based on previous experience and knowledge of the shipping and receiving process in a manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

We are a Certified Drug-Free Workplace participant and employment is dependent upon a negative, pre-employment drug screening. To be considered for employment, applicants must visit our manufacturing facility to complete an Employment Application. We are searching for a local hire; this position is most likely suitable for a commute no greater than 20-35 minutes.
