Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying quantities, and recording deliveries using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) Load and unload trucks safely using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols Prepare outgoing shipments by picking orders with order pickers, packing items securely, and labeling packages accurately for delivery Manage stock levels through proper stocking procedures, ensuring inventory accuracy within the warehouse management system (WMS) and AS400 platforms Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets correctly and utilizing pallet jacks or reach trucks for efficient space utilization Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with stock replenishment to support warehouse distribution operations Collaborate with team members to optimize order fulfillment processes, improve shipping accuracy, and meet delivery deadlines Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and inventory management Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software for inventory control Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately Knowledge of e-commerce logistics processes and packaging standards for timely order fulfillment Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stocking, labeling, and documentation Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth warehouse distribution operations Join us as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to play a crucial role in delivering excellence in logistics!
