Immediate benefits your first day The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing and processing outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders according to daily schedules and work orders. This role verifies the accuracy of parts, quantities, and shipping documents; creates shipping labels and carrier paperwork; and loads trucks using material‑handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The Shipping Clerk maintains a clean and safe work area, follows all safety and quality procedures, assists with inventory counts and stock organization, and communicates with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to resolve shipment issues. Key Responsibilities Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to work orders and daily shipping schedules. Verify accuracy of outbound shipments, including checking part numbers, quantities, packing lists, and documentation. Safely operate material‑handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move, stage, and load products. Create and apply shipping labels, bills of lading, and all required carrier documentation using company systems. Load trucks and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely pickups and smooth outbound logistics. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area, following all 5S and facility standards. Follow safety guidelines, quality standards, and all company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock organization in coordination with the warehouse team. Communicate effectively with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to resolve order or shipment issues. Qualifications Prior shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred. Forklift experience a plus (company certification provided). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry. Good communication and teamwork skills.
