Shipping Forklift Operator

Granite Valley Forest Products is hiring a Forklift Operator for a full-time position. The successful candidate will safely operate a forklift while transporting lumber within the warehouse and accurately track the movement of the bundles. This position will be scheduled to work from 5am - 1:30pm. Previous Shipping/Receiving experience is preferred.

Essential functions:

The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position. Employees must be able to fulfill these functions in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner. Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements, use personal protective equipment and proactively address any unsafe conditions observed. Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance, inspection ready at all times Inspects the forklift daily to ensure the machine is operating safely and effectively Ensures inventory is properly accounted for and tracked Loads and unloads trucks Pulls packages for production Pulls and preps packages for customer orders Assists in other areas as needed Puts safety first in all responsibilities Keeps workspace and surroundings clean and neat to foster productivity and efficiency Other assignments as made by management

QUALIFICATIONS

Must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds

Contain ability to build rapport and good working relationship with co-workers High School diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license required 1 year forklift driving experience and/or training preferred Must be able to pass a written and practical exam
