Shipping Lead

Shipping Lead Pay Range:

$25.75-$27.30 •This position is Onsite - 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, flexibility will be necessary•What You'll Do Under limited supervision, monitor material movement of product being produced /completed. Responsible to use knowledge of inventory practices / Quality control to maintain accurate information on inventory levels and Quality. This position reports into the Plant Manager. Maintain proper movement of material is all areas Conduct inventory cycle counts. Identify sources of cycle count variances and work with appropriate departments to correct. Count, weigh, and document incoming material and outgoing freight. Report shortages and damaged materials to supervisor. Maintain necessary documentation for shipping/receiving. Assist in getting orders ready for shipment including bag, box, skid and strap all materials Safely move material with cart, pallet jack & forklift. Properly operate auxiliary equipment. Maintain clean and safe environment. Supervise 2-3 employees on a daily basis Must know and follow the quality policy and comply with all requirements of the quality systems manual Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring Requires 5+ years related experience in material movement, Inventory control and Quality Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to follow oral instructions. Good basic math skills High school graduate or GED High accuracy in data entry work Good organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel Must be able to use standard measuring tools such as measuring tape, caliper, and micrometer.
