Busada Manufacturing Corp. has been extruding high-quality plastic tubing and pipe since 1951 and is an industry leader in plastics manufacturing. We are seeking a motivated Shipping & Materials Associate to join our manufacturing operations team in Louisa, VA. The regular schedule for this position will be Monday-Thursday 7:00AM to 5:30 PM.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Shipping & Materials Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the shipping and receiving processes, managing and monitoring inventory, and ensure movement of materials, supplies, and finished products to their designated location.Operations & Production:
Assist with inventory management, including receiving inventory, updating inventory in established systems, and ensuring proper placement within plan Conduct frequent inventory audits, reconciling differences and ensuring adequate stock levels Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging and labeling, and keep accurate documentation of packed and shipped goods. Build skids, crates, and custom boxes to fit shipping requirements Assist with coordinating freight carriers and preparing shipping documentation Fulfill stock orders, including picking and packing order accurately, inspecting product for quality, preparing order for shipping, and updating stock inventory Load and unload raw materials and completed parts. Deliver raw materials to extrusion lines, and retrieve excess material and scrap Utilize equipment to grind and process raw and/or excess material, and avoid cross-material contamination. Assist with removal of material that would no longer meet quality standards Operate grinder, forklift, pallet-jack and other machinery and equipment in a safe manner All other duties as assignedQualifications:
High school diploma or GED Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to safely operate forklift, pallet jack, grinder, and other required machinery and tools Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others, including communication, and embody the core values ofBusada Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment Experience with inventory management and controlPhysical Requirements and Working Environment:
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, frequently able to sit, talk, hear, see, stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, and kneel; perform repetitive motions and maintain precise hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and the ability to safely utilize and operate assistive machinery; ability to work for extended periods; ability to routinely use standard office equipment; and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The working environment includes exposure to fumes of airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration; exposure to high heat, high voltage around water, tight spaces, and sharp objects; and the exposure to high noise levels. Individual must maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to wear appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE).Job Type:
