Job Description

The Impact You'll Make Danfoss in Van Wert, OH is seeking a 1st shift Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will manage the intake and processing of goods arriving at the designated receiving area. You will be essential in maintaining precise inventory records, inspecting incoming shipments for quality and quantity, and coordinating effectively with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations. What You'll Be Doing Develop comprehensive expertise in MFG pro eB2.1, attaining proficiency in key receiving functions such as processing receipts, creating routers, receivers, and work orders. Provide backup support for the Receiving Desk or OVO Desk as needed. Collaborate effectively across all departments to cultivate a cooperative environment focused on partnership and efficient problem-solving. Lead and support containment efforts for discrepant materials or non-conforming parts during the receiving process. Assist in implementing corrective actions by conducting root cause analysis and devising strategies for successful resolution. Demonstrate the ability to interpret and understand technical documents including blueprints, routers, job instructions, and standard work procedures. What We're Looking For High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Ability to interpret and understand blueprints, routers, job instructions, and standard procedures is essential. Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with MFG Pro and MS Office (Excel) is expected. Experience with forklift operation and loading/unloading trailers is necessary. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required. Must be capable of comprehending receivers, routers, and work orders. Fluent English speaking and writing skills are essential.
