We are hiring a dynamic Shop Manager to lead our maintenance facility. In this role, you will oversee a team of 10+ mechanics and support staff dedicated to the repair and upkeep of our orchard and farming equipment. General Description The Shop Manager leads daily operations for our orchard farming equipment repair facility, overseeing a team of 10+ mechanics and support staff. You will be responsible for streamlining repair schedules to minimize equipment downtime while ensuring all work meets rigorous safety and quality standards. Job Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the orchard mechanic shop, including opening and closing procedures Supervise a team of mechanics, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Schedule repair work to ensure that equipment is repaired quickly and efficiently Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime during peak periods Ensure that all repairs meet quality control standards and are completed in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports for senior management Purchase parts and supplies as needed, ensuring that the shop is well-stocked and organized Maintain inventory control and records on all parts in shop Maintain a safe working environment for employees, including implementing safety protocols and training employees in safe equipment operations Ensure that the shop is in compliance with all local and state regulations related to equipment repair and maintenance Manage truck and driver for equipment hauling between farm divisions Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness with the shop and equipment. Requirements 5+ year's management experience with industrial or agricultural shop operations 5+ years leadership role with ability to teach and train Attention to detail and accuracy Mechanical understanding and ability to evaluate labor & material requirements Organized and ability to multi-task efficiently Team player and possess strong written and verbal communication skills Computer literate and skilled with MS Office and able to learn Llumin for work order scheduling and recordkeeping. Ability to manage multiple priorities and various needs simultaneously from start to completion Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred but not required Clean driving record; must pass a drug/ alcohol screen and physical If you possess these qualities and would like to be considered for this role, please apply today!
