Shop Supervisor Metal Working Fab and CNC

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shop Supervisor to lead our shop team in delivering exception and maintaining high standards of quality. As a pivotal member of our operations, you will oversee daily shop activities, coordinate repairs and maintenance, and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background and leadership skills to drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and foster a customer-focused environment. Duties Supervise daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow management, shipping and resource allocation to maximize productivity. Oversee equipment repairs, ensuring adherence to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications, internally completing the simple repairs. Lead a team of technicians by providing guidance on fixtures, tooling, fabrication, welding, programming and efficient flow of product through the shop. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies; enforce proper use of hand tools and power tools. Foster excellent customer service by communicating effectively with planning/customer service about any delays in the schedule Develop training for each shop area and provide the necessary training for the shop technicians. Evaluate employee performance Identify bottlenecks and implement practices to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Requirements Proven experience in programming and a good understanding of creating work holding /fixtures for both machining and fabrication. A good understanding of the press brake is a plus. Experience with fabrication, welding, CNC machining, and assembly. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising technicians; excellent organizational and communication abilities.
