Skilled Construction Equipment Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Construction Equipment Operator with underground petroleum system experience preferred to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a variety of machinery, performing concrete work, and handling minor electrical and plumbing tasks. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in quality craftsmanship and safety. Underground storage tank experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy and light machinery including: Excavator Concrete saw Scissor lift Other construction equipment as needed Perform concrete-related tasks: Site preparation and formwork Mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete Assist with minor electrical work: Installing fixtures Running conduit and wiring Troubleshooting basic electrical issues Support minor plumbing tasks in an underground petroleum setting: Installing and repairing pipes and fixtures Assisting with petroleum and drainage systems Maintain equipment and tools in safe working conditions Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines Qualifications Proven experience operating construction machinery Strong knowledge of concrete pouring and finishing techniques Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Valid driver's license Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods Preferred Traits Dependable and punctual Safety-conscious Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
