Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students by providing vital speech-language services in a dynamic educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract opportunity is designed for professionals passionate about helping children with moderate to severe needs thrive in school and beyond. Multiple positions are available across preschool, elementary, and middle school levels, allowing you to apply your expertise where it's needed most.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Valid state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP), or eligibility Prior experience providing speech therapy in school settings, including work with moderate to severe caseloads Familiarity with IEP planning, intervention strategies, and collaborative practices Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Compassion, patience, and skill in empowering students with special needs Ability to adapt to changing educational requirements and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted speech-language therapy to assigned caseloads: preschool, elementary, or middle school students with moderate to severe needs Develop and implement IEPs, conduct assessments, and document progress Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student outcomes Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and compliance reporting Ensure services align with federal, state, and district protocols Contribute creative solutions to address unique student communication challenges Picture yourself making a meaningful difference every day, working within a collaborative and supportive school environment just minutes from the beautiful California coast.
