Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting student success by providing essential speech and language services across two lively school settings. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering dedicated support to middle and high school students, working full-time and helping shape communication skills in a dynamic educational environment. The position requires proficiency in sign language and spans both a middle and a high school, allowing you to make a broad impact. You'll engage with a caseload of approximately 50 students, fostering growth and communication development for diverse learners.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred Proficiency in sign language Previous experience providing speech-language therapy to school-aged children Strong ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff Organizational skills to balance a caseload across two school sitesResponsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students in grades 6-12 Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEPs Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for comprehensive student support Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress, and services provided Facilitate group and individual sessions, tailoring interventions for student success Participate in meetings, evaluations, and support the wider educational team with expertise in language pathology This contract offers a steady schedule of 35 hours per week (seven-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), giving you both structure and time to build rewarding connections with students and colleagues.
