Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Looking to make a positive difference in students' lives? A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an educational team for the coming school year, helping students develop key communication skills and thrive in their learning environments. This rewarding position covers the academic calendar from August 25th through June 15th—perfect for professionals who value a defined assignment with clear impact.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state license (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred In-depth understanding of IEP processes and service documentation Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
What You'll Do:
Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to students with a range of speech and language needs Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams Offer direct therapy sessions both individually and in small groups, using evidence-based practices Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support Monitor student progress, maintain thorough and timely records, and adjust therapy as necessary Provide guidance and education to staff and parents regarding speech-language development and strategies This contract position offers the chance to create lasting change while enjoying a structured school-year schedule and collaborating with dedicated professionals.
