Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students' communication growth within an educational environment near Warren, MI. Engage with a diverse learning community as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC), working across four self-contained caseloads with multiple needs from nursery through elementary levels. Make a direct impact by delivering tailored therapy and collaborating closely with dedicated school teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP Demonstrated experience with pediatric speech therapy, preferably in school or clinical settings Skilled in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress monitoring Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Comfortable supporting students with various abilities and communication challenges, including those in self-contained classrooms
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students within assigned self-contained classrooms Assess, diagnose, and document speech/language disorders for students with varying needs, including those in nursery/pre-K Collaborate with special educators, occupational therapists, and families to implement and adapt individualized treatment plans Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain thorough, up-to-date records of student progress Foster a supportive and inclusive environment to aid students in achieving academic and communicative success Participate in professional development and actively contribute to team discussions to enhance service delivery
