Job Description
Under general direction of Director, performs professional work of considerable difficulty assisting in planning, organizing, developing, and coordinating complex administrative services within the Development Services Department. Plans, organizes, and assists in directing the activities of professional, technical, and clerical personnel in the compilation, analysis, and interpretation of data used in planning, addressing, land use (zoning), water and wastewater, building safety, and floodplains. Coordinates departmental activities with other departments, local and state jurisdictions, and Federal agencies. Organizes assigns and monitors the preparation and presentation of complex studies and reports; makes oral and written presentations to the Board of Supervisors, Planning and Zoning Commission, various committees, boards, and commissions. Evaluates employees' work performance and makes staff recommendations; interprets departmental policy for department personnel in conjunction with the Department Director. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
