These positions perform a variety of professional level planning work in the support of the Community Development Department. Reviewing and interpreting data and formulate recommendations for current and long-range planning purposes; and provide information and assistance on planning related matters to the Planning Manager, Director of Community Development, other department staff, and the public. Experience:

No prior professional planning experience is required. Internship, practicum, volunteer, or related experience in planning, community development, architecture, engineering, geography, or local government is desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, City and Regional Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, Engineering, Social Sciences or a closely related field.

Associate Planner:
