In this brand-new position , we are seeking our first Financial Planning Director, who will report directly to Dave Clayman, one of our Partners. Our new Financial Planning Director will have the incredible opportunity to: Being the first Director of Financial Planning will provide someone with the incredible opportunity to enhance the way financial planning actually happens, from the process to the systems, to the way the financial planning process is approached and carried out. Since this is the core of our business, the Director of Financial Planning will be able to make a significant impact on not only the firm's success, but our talented Financial Advisors' growth and development, and ultimately, our clients who rely upon us to provide quality financial planning. Our new Director of Financial Planning will: 1. Enhance the financial planning model we've built with systematized standards, workflows, and tools that let the model be delivered the same way, to the same standard, across the firm. 2. Provide leadership, direction, management, and quality control assessment to our client service advisors and other financial planners ensuring the team delivers consistently and to a high standard. 3. Ensure the financial planning process is effective and efficient with positive client outcomes and feedback. Engage the team in refining the process and systems. 4. Partner with advisors and internal teams to deliver insights, resources, and guidance that drive advisor growth and satisfaction. 5. Assist advisors in navigating business challenges, practice management decisions, and succession planning. 6. Provide strategic input and feedback to advisors, helping them refine financial planning models, client engagement strategies and operational processes 7. Work with advisors to develop business opportunities with clients and prospects around wealth planning content, solutions and services 8. Conduct analyses for all areas to include: cash flow, insurance, education funding, executive compensation and stock options, asset allocation, income tax planning, charitable planning, business succession, asset protection and estate and wealth transfer strategies. 9. Manage complex client relationships providing direct financial advisor services What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of financial planning experience, in a wealth management environment
- CFP® designation, CPWA® desired
- Exceptional presentation skills, and strategic agility, balancing firm objectives with advisor needs.
- Experience with MoneyGuidePro, eMoney or similar planning tools
- Familiarity with Schwab and Fidelity also a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at critical problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
