Job Description

What You'll Be Doing As a Budget & Management Services Manager , you will help shape the County's direction and guide the work that enables long-term stability and strategic investment. You'll work side-by-side with senior leadership, bringing clarity to complex policy and financial issues and strengthening the County's ability to serve a growing community. You'll lead a talented team of analysts and performance consultants, cultivating a culture of collaboration, trust, and high performance. This role balances people leadership, strategic financial insight, and the ability to build strong relationships with partners at every level. In this role, you will: Lead major components of the annual planning and budget process support the Strategic Plan, operational business plans, and other department and County Manager-directed priorities. Mentor and empower a team of analysts and performance consultants, cultivating a culture of growth, accountability, and service. Build strong working relationships with department leaders and the County Manager's Office to align resources with community and operational priorities. Champion process improvements and technology enhancements that increase transparency, efficiency, and impact. Utilize the County systems to support data-informed analysis and communications that facilitate decision-making. Navigate complex issues, develop well-reasoned solutions, and communicate recommendations and alternatives in a way that builds understanding and confidence. Prepare written communications and presentations to others that effectively describe budgetary challenges, solutions and conclusions. The Basics (Required Education and Experience) Bachelor's degree Six years of experience in public policy or other relevant professional/analytical work Equivalent education and experience are accepted Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.
