Job Description

General Description The Director of Strategic Planning leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Osage Nation's long-term strategic plans and priority initiatives. This position works closely with leadership, departments, and community stakeholders to align Tribal goals with operational plans, funding strategies, and performance outcomes, supporting sustainable growth, strong governance, and the exercise of Tribal sovereignty. The Director is responsible for overseeing organizational reviews, communicating results to leadership and developing strategies based on organizational reviews. This position is responsible for updating the Osage Nation Strategic Plan, Resource Directory, and Osage Nation Census. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required; Master's Degree preferred At least four (4) years of experience in planning and administration required At least seven (7) years of experience in Project Management required High level of skill in research, critical thinking, analytical writing and meeting facilitation Functional knowledge of OMB circulars and related federal guidelines Experience in stakeholder engagement, including tribal leaders, federal partners, and community members Proven ability to lead through change, set priorities, and make high-level decisions under pressure Requires knowledge of Osage language and culture Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Osage Nation Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics Requires a high level of problem solving skills Requires familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulations Requires familiarity with the concepts of project management Requires familiarity with the concepts of budget development and compliance with Osage Nation budgets Requires familiarity with planning concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions Must be able to communicate professionally and occasionally speak before groups Must have experience in fiscal management Must maintain confidentiality at all times Must obtain/develop knowledge in Nation's accounting systems Must obtain/develop knowledge in Nation's grant management system Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing Must have a valid driver's license - may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehicles
