Job Description

H&H Practice LeadLocation:
Dallas, TX or Houston, TX Minimum Experience:
10+ yearsOverview Seeking an experienced H&H Practice Lead to oversee and manage hydrology and hydraulics projects across Texas. This role involves directing project execution, leading business development efforts, and building strong client relationships with agencies such as TxDOT, municipalities, and regional organizations.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a variety of H&H projects for transportation and infrastructure clients.

Drive marketing and outreach initiatives to secure new work from TxDOT, municipalities, and regional councils.

Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Prepare technical documentation including drainage reports, design packages, and field reports.

Oversee H&H marketing pursuits and proposal development.

Perform additional duties as needed to support practice growth.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited program.

Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas (required).Minimum 10+ years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics for roadway/highway projects.

TxDOT project experience required.

Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.

Strong background in drainage impact studies for roadway projects preferred.

Skills & ExpertiseProven ability to build and lead teams.

Advanced knowledge of 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling.

Proficiency with MicroStation and design software such as GEOPAK/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, HY-8, or similar tools.

Familiarity with ProjectWise is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
