PREDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

, Economics (5 positions), to join the research team of Professor Amy Finkelstein. Responsibilities include working with data sets, cleaning and running checks to spot errors, and generally preparing data for analysis; assisting with onboarding new staff and maintaining project documentation; and assisting with literature reviews, new and renewal institutional review board applications, and preparation of academic papers. Job Requirements

REQUIRED

: Two years of research experience (may include research experience gained as an undergraduate); bachelor's degree; strong quantitative background and computer skills including programming experience; excellent academic record; and ability to work independently.

PREFERRED

: Research assistant experience; background in economics; candidates with strong technical backgrounds looking for more exposure to economics; and ideal for someone interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in economics. Online application should include (in one PDF uploaded to any upload field): cover letter with a brief description of experience as an RA and any independent research; description of familiarity with statistical and computer packages; names of two references and their contact information (one must be someone you have worked for as an RA); current CV; transcript; condensed transcript; written list of classes in economics, mathematics, statistics or computer science (including course name, date taken, school, and the main textbook(s) used in the course); courses currently taking; date available to start work. Two references must send letter of recommendation to the attention of Professor Finkelstein at as soon as possible once application is submitted.
