COST ESTIMATOR

Duties

• Leads the cost estimation team to design and perform various analytical studies and cost estimates using scientific methods to derive detailed cost projections.
• Develops and structures the problem, establishes procedures for obtaining data, and determines variables that are relevant to the problem.
• Performs a broad range of cost and/or economic analysis assignments involving unique problems, requirements for creativity, innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches.
• Responsible for establishing working relationships to support and resolve problems and difficulties.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a

clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.

• Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically tafter according to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
• The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 10% of the time.
• The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
• The incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually tafter.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA).

The incumbent must obtain Business Cost Estimating (BUS-CE) DAWIA Advanced Certification within four years. Qualifications
