Full Job Description About RCF:
Founded in 1978, this Chicago-based economic consulting firm applies high-level economic and statistical analyses to solve important problems. We are looking for a mid-level or senior economist to join our forecasting team. Work will entail programming and analyses with R, updating datasets, performing research, quality assurance, and other tasks as required.
Role:
Perform detailed research and economic analyses on a variety of applied problems as required. Document tasks, methods, data, and findings to a high level of precision and ensure accuracy and efficiency in all work. Maintain and update data series from a variety of government and private sources. Prepare drafts of written analyses, reports, and presentations.
Requirements:
Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Economics. Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and slide presentation software. Experience using R. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work collaboratively and congenially with others. Demonstrated ability in areas of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail. Authorized to work in US, will use E-Verify. Preference given to candidates with the following: Experience with R, Stata, SQL, input-output modeling, GIS. Advanced coursework in econometrics or statistics. Applied economic research experience.
Location:
Applicants living in the Chicago area will be required to work in the office 2-3 days a week. Applicants living outside Chicago may be considered for a remote position.
