Duties Help The Aviion Policy Advisor (ICAO Secondee) : Provides subject-mter expertise and technical support to Secretari staff on aviion economic regulion and policy. As a member of the Pricing and Multileral Affairs Division, the incumbent works with a team of aviion policy analysts to plan, organize, and conduct the development of the Department's positions on economic and political air transportion issues in multileral organizions such as ICAO. Prepares briefing papers, memoranda, and other documents for senior leadership on internional aviion initiives th are discussed in internional forums. Serves as an advisor to the U.S. Member on various ICAO bodies such as the Air Transport Regulory Panel (ATRP) and the Facilition Panel (FALP) and may be called upon to join internional working groups to support and inform the agendas of such bodies as U.S. policy priorities dicte. Serves as a Member of the U.S. delegion to ICAO Assemblies and Conferences and supports senior leaders who speak for the United Stes on economic air transport issues and facilition of internional aviion. Coordines with other Department offices and other government agencies such as the Departments of Commerce, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, and Ste, industry groups and trade associions, and others on internional aviion policy issues in the areas of transportion facilition, security, trade, user charges, accessibility, and health mitigion. The ideal candide has multiple years of experience in developing and crafting internional aviion policies, working with U.S. and foreign aviion stakeholders, and opering in a multileral environment. S/he should feel comfortable asserting U.S. policy priorities meetings with foreign counterparts and in representing DOT policy and regulory equities in interagency settings.
