Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Cryptographic Modernization Analyst to sit fully onsite at the Pentagon. This individual will support a team responsible for coordinating and managing taskings and memos tied to enterprise cryptographic modernization efforts. In this role, the analyst will lead COMSEC and cryptographic policy efforts by coordinating taskings, validating data, and helping establish a baseline of cryptographic assets across the organization. The individual will review and manage incoming taskings, prioritize and assign actions, track progress to completion, and develop executive-level briefings, talking points, and reports for senior leadership. The ideal candidate can manage multiple workstreams, collaborate across teams, and confidently engage with senior DoD leadership in a professional and personable manner.
Responsibilities Include:
  •  Draft policy memos, issue papers, and briefing materials (presentations, reports, executive summaries)
  •  Respond to congressional inquiries and develop reports or briefings aligned with legislative requirements
  •  Support COMSEC and cryptographic efforts by tracking and assessing cryptographic assets and partnering with CIO and PQC stakeholders to improve cryptographic posture
  •  Coordinate taskings, validate data submissions, and follow up on gaps or inconsistencies with stakeholders
  •  Support the establishment and maintenance of a baseline for cryptographic assets across the enterprise
Compensation:
$52.50/hr to $62.50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.   •  Active
DOD TS/SCI
security clearance
  •  Years of Experience and Education/Certification Requirements (MUST meet one of the following): o 10+ years of IT experience and a bachelor's degree in a cybersecurity/IT-related field o 10+ years of IT experience, a bachelor's degree in a non-cybersecurity/IT-related field, and an active CISSP certification o 14+ years of IT experience and an active CISSP certification in lieu of a degree
  •  Experience with communications technology or communications security (COMSEC)
  •  Strong hands-on COMSEC experience
  •  Knowledge of cryptography and key management (through COMSEC experience)
  •  Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography
  •  Strong communication skills with proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely with DoD leadership
  •  Ability to develop briefings, talking points, and presentations
  •  Experience with Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS)
  •  Experience with cryptography as pertaining to key management
  •  Experience with post-quantum cryptography
  •  Ability to manage actions and tasks through a standardized government system
  •  CISSP or related Certification
