Description and Requirements General Description:
Responsible for accurate and timely handling of issuing policies and processing endorsements. Support Underwriting and Brokerage teams. Maintain the integrity of clients' electronic files.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, knowledgeable service of requested policy transactions through multiple programs.
  • Review binders, rate sheets, and applications against policies to ensure accuracy. Add surplus lines information/documentation to policies.
  • Ensure state surplus lines requirements are met before releasing the policy to the agent.
  • Update status in company system to reflect policy mailed out.
  • Email required carrier documentation after policy is issued.
  • File all policy documentation electronically. Ensure filing is in accordance with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.
  • Review reports and confirm policy issuance remains compliant and within guidelines.
  • Correspond directly with underwriting and brokerage account team. Includes transactions with discrepancies, missing documentation, or items that require clarification.
  • Respond to internal requests for information, documents, and general policy inquiries.
  • Meet or exceed individual daily processing requirements and monthly accuracy goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 3 years + of insurance experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Knowledge of AIM/ImageRight preferred.
  • Detail oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload while meeting deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate an aptitude to obtain knowledge of the insurance contracts and coverages being underwritten in the department.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
