Job Description
Americo is hiring a full time New Business Associate I to join our expanding team! The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM , on site at our downtown Kansas City, MO office location. Overview The New Business department is responsible for onboarding life and annuity policies and managing administrative processes aligned with established service levels and guidelines. This role supports internal agent and client-facing departments and plays a key role in processing applications, handling inbound inquiries, and ensuring timely and accurate policy issuance within established guidelines and service level expectations. Key Responsibilities Receive and process work via telephone, email, and other electronic methods. Index and submit application data into AWD, APNG, NBU, and NBUW systems. Review applications, make decisions, and take appropriate actions to issue, close, and process funding sources within service standards. Communicate with agents during routine policy processing. Handle internal phone inquiries from agent and client-facing departments. Assist with additional departmental needs, including reporting, quality, testing, special assignments, and projects. Required Qualifications Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing competing deadlines. Computer proficiency with willingness to learn new systems. Strong organizational skills. Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills. Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or new business operations. Experience working with policy administration or workflow systems.
