Policy Analyst I Position Summary The Policy Analyst I supports strategic initiatives through a cross-functional role spanning program management, strategy, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, communications, and training. This position conducts research, analyzes information, develops clear recommendations, and helps translate organizational objectives and policy requirements into practical processes, guidance, and tools. The successful candidate will collaborate with leaders, project teams, subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders to coordinate initiatives, improve processes, develop communications, and support effective implementation. Key Responsibilities Support program and project management activities, including action-item tracking, milestone monitoring, risk and dependency coordination, meeting preparation, and status reporting. Assist with strategic planning, environmental scans, implementation roadmaps, prioritization, and leadership briefings. Research, draft, review, revise, and maintain policies, procedures, memoranda, process documentation, and related materials. Engage clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, coordinate reviews, consolidate feedback, and document decisions. Develop executive summaries, briefing materials, talking points, FAQs, implementation communications, and other stakeholder-facing products. Support training and knowledge-transfer activities by developing presentations, process maps, quick-reference guides, job aids, and other performance-support materials. Document current- and future-state processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and user experience. Prepare accurate, professional, and well-organized deliverables while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Support continuous improvement, change management, and implementation activities across assigned initiatives. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business, healthcare administration, communications, management, or a related field. Up to five years of experience in policy analysis, program or project support, business analysis, communications, training development, or a related area. Strong research, analytical writing, organization, and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple assignments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal, military, healthcare, or other complex enterprise environments. Familiarity with process improvement, change management, or knowledge management. Experience developing training materials, executive briefings, or policy implementation products. Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
