Summarize and analyze legislative & regulatory proposals, providing concise and informative briefs for the team.
Prepare and review documents, correspondence, and other materials.
Conduct in-depth research on legislative issues, policy trends, and relevant regulations.
Draft written communications, including letters, powerpoint presentations, emails, client memos, and advocacy materials.
Liaise with government officials, stakeholders, and clients to foster positive relationships.
Assist with firm communications efforts, including proofreading materials and supporting the drafting of social media content and other messaging as directed.
On-site administrative support as needed (receive deliveries, etc.)Other duties in support of the mission and clients of Caprock Strategies as assigned.
Experience via internship, coursework or professional placement in legislative affairs, government relations, or related roles is preferred.
Strong research and analytical skills with proven attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and familiarity with legislative tracking tools.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in agriculture, nutrition, political science, public policy, or a related field.Experience via internship, coursework or professional placement in legislative affairs, government relations, or related roles is preferred.
