Job Overview:
The Department of Disability & Aging (DDA) is seeking an Internal Policy Director to lead and manage its Internal Policy Division within the Human Resources and Organizational Development Division. This position provides strategic oversight, ensures regulatory compliance, drives policy development, and serves as a key advisor and reports directly to the Assistant Commissioner of Human Resources and Organizational Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for DDA's Internal Policy Division and ensure responsible operations. Oversee the full policy and IOG lifecycle, including research, drafting, legal review coordination, approval routing, publication, and compliance tracking. Produce executive level writing and documentation, maintain HR related policies, and prepare employee relations materials. Lead and support strategic projects and audit preparation efforts. Create and maintain knowledge management resources such as SOPs, process maps, guides, and reference tools. Develop presentations, executive briefings, and communications. Manage project workflows, stakeholder coordination, and implementation planning. Conduct research and analysis to inform decision making. Provide executive support by developing programs, solutions, and deliverables with minimal direction across multiple formats, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Minimum of three years of experience in public policy or public administration.
