00 per hour Join a fast-moving safeguards operations team focused on helping maintain the integrity of AI systems through careful review, policy enforcement, and cross-functional collaboration. This remote contract opportunity is open to candidates in any time zone and offers the chance to support meaningful work in AI safety and responsible technology. Responsibilities Review user interactions, customer signals, and related content to identify potential policy concerns Apply established safeguards workflows and policy guidelines with accuracy and consistency Partner with strategy, policy, and threat intelligence teams to surface trends, identify gaps, and support classifier improvements Prepare clear weekly updates and reports on operational activity and workflow outcomes Respond to customer communications and appeals related to policy enforcement Provide surge support for review and content labeling as operational needs change Handle cross-functional requests and share timely insights to support team priorities Skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and processes Strong independent work habits and a proactive approach to daily tasks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to reviewing information Ability to collaborate effectively with partners across teams Consistent focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work Interest in AI safety, responsible technology, and ethical decision-making Preferred Skills Experience supporting content review, policy operations, or trust and safety workflows Familiarity with classification, labeling, or escalation processes Experience preparing operational reports or summarizing trends for stakeholders Comfort handling sensitive or challenging material with professionalism and care Experience working in collaborative environments with shifting priorities Horizontal is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where different perspectives are valued and respected.
