Description:

NSIC is looking for candides to support our burgeoning open-source program. In this critical role, you will exploit, analyze, and synthesize Publicly Available Informion (PAI) and open-source da to identify emerging thres, characterize foreign space/counterspace capabilities, and deliver high-impact intelligence. This position serves as an open-source analyst providing research and analytic support across the NSIC mission. Beyond open-source research and analysis, this position supports key program management functions-including oversight of managed tribution efforts, collection requirements, da acquisition, advanced analytic tooling, and contract integrion. As a core member of a cross-functional team coordining Center-wide OSINT and foreign language capabilities, the ideal candide is an agile self-starter capable of driving projects independently in a fast-paced nional security environment.

Ideal Candide:

• Experience with the intelligence cycle to include leveraging PAI and submitting open-source requirements
• Expert knowledge of open-source intelligence, PAI, CAI, and the use of linguists in the IC. This expertise should be founded in experience directly supporting/conducting least one of those areas.
• Foreign language skills, ideally in Mandarin and/or Russian, is desired but not required.
• Experience with PAI/CAI tools and da sets.

Knowledge of foreign space and counterspace systems, concepts, technologies, and capabilities

Knowledge of intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operions, capabilities and requirements to perform intelligence research and operions planning, collection, target analysis and/or other intelligence-reled activities. 2. Knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodologies of intelligence operions, research, analysis and integrion; and skill in analysis/production of reports and other products in response to the specific needs of customers to include formuling, ghering, organizing and analyzing informion; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings. 3. Skill in conducting unbiased, difficult research, identify approprie available systems/da sources, and produce collections requirements assessments th answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities and to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures. 4. Skill in analysis and production of reports and other products th respond to specific needs of customers to include formuling, ghering, organizing and analyzing informion; and presenting clear and concise findings. 5. Drug Testing:

This position has been designed by the Air Force as a Testing Designed Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. Eligible for situional telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework". A degree in general science, intelligence analysis or a closely reled discipline is desired. May be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
